PhilosophyOne of the main characteristics of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ wines lies in the great diversity of its terroirs, diversity that is found in the different styles of wines that vary greatly depending on where the grapes are grown. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the House of Edouard Delaunay illustrates this multiplicity by offering several selections from Premier Cru climats located both north and south of the village.
TerroirThis Collection, signature of the House, brings together a selection of the 6 cuvées of Nuits-Saint-Georges, our village of heart. For this 2022 Edition, you will find:
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Argillas 2022Splendid luminous, deep red colour. Remarkably intense warm nose redolent of red berries (cherry, raspberry, blueberry) mingled with a touch of spiciness (vetiver, crushed black peppercorns). Such powerful aromas bear witness to the exceptional ripeness of the grapes. Lovely nuances of spring flowers (violet, lily, peony, iris) can be perceived. A hint of marzipan is balanced by a touch of freshness (mint leaf). Superb dense, balanced start to the palate supported by mastered acidity. Delicate notes of vineyard peach and wild rose. The finish is long and features ripe tannins that are highly typical of this climat, which lend the wine outstanding cellaring potential. This is a magnificent, classy wine that is well suited for laying down.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers 2022This wine has a splendid dark red color, immediately evoking its depth and intensity. On the nose, it is distinguished by a remarkable elegance and finesse. The first impressions are marked by delicate floral nuances of lily of the valley and verbena, which blend harmoniously with fruity aromas of burlat cherry and orange peel zest. Then woody notes of fresh oak, wild cherry, mocha and cocoa powder emerge, complemented by a subtle touch of frangipani. Fresh, minty and floral notes of savory and sage. On the palate, this wine reveals great density from the start. The tannins are very present but coated and silky and give a beautiful length in the mouth. Both deep and long, this Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru will reveal all its character with age. To be decanted in his younger years./li>
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Crots 2022Elegant deep red, almost black, in colour with unctuous, velvety texture. The first nose is reminiscent of peat, after which follow aromas of dried herbs, thyme, fir and chili pepper. Notes of red fruit then surface (cherry, sour cherry, raspberry) along with a subtle f loral hint of poppy, then almond. Pure start to the palate featuring lovely sucrosity and refreshing acidity typical of this appellation. A mineral hint of white pebbles opens up to f lavours of sourdough bread and notes of brioche, along with a whisper of freshly cut grass. This wine is deep and pure, and perfectly corresponds to its appellation: ripe yet mineral, almost stony, with pleasing acidity.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Poulettes 2022Magnificent deep red color, with almost black nuances. The nose, elegant and powerful, reveals a beautiful maturity and seductive aromas of small black fruits (blackberry, cherry, blackcurrant), quite typical of its appellation. Aromas of sweet spices (turmeric, curry) are enhanced by a touch of gray pepper, bringing a nice freshness. The nose is intense, with a slight sweetness (dragee), with notes of grilled almond and gourmet nuances of raspberry and cherry coulis. On the palate, the attack is exceptional: broad and velvety. This wine offers a beautiful density, almost syrupy, promising to reveal all its character and complexity as it ages.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Saints-Georges 2022 Beautiful, intense, dark red color. The nose is immediately expressive, complex and deliciously fruity (vine peach, yellow peach). It then evolves towards spicy notes of curry and cumin, before giving way to woody nuances (hops, heather earth, toasted hazelnut). The nose retains a great freshness, accentuated by a touch of menthol and chlorophyll, as well as by citrus scents (orange zest, bergamot). The attack on the palate is broad and ample, characterized by a density and concentration that persist throughout the tasting. On the palate, we find warm aromas of cocoa powder, tobacco, peat, incense. Subtle touches of smoke and leather. The finish, very fresh, is marked by notes of menthol and pepper. A great wine, of remarkable complexity.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Didiers "Cuvée Cabet" 2022 - MONOPOLEEndowed with gorgeous deep colour, this wine features a pleasing, ripe nose with a slight hint of fig. On the palate, notes of tangy fruit, along with aromas of liquorice and touch of bark are enhanced by a freshness and a remarkable balance between acidity and tannins that is very typical of the Premiers Crus from Nuits- Saint-Georges.
