PhilosophyOne of the main characteristics of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ wines lies in the great diversity of its terroirs, diversity that is found in the different styles of wines that vary greatly depending on where the grapes are grown. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the House of Edouard Delaunay illustrates this multiplicity by offering several selections from Premier Cru climats located both north and south of the village.
TerroirThis Collection, signature of the House, brings together a selection of the 6 cuvées of Nuits-Saint-Georges, our village of heart. For this 2022 Edition, you will find:
Nuits-Saint-Georges Le Village 2019The colour is of medium intensity. The nose is open and boasts aromas of liquorice that are typical for Nuits-Saint-Georges. Fruity notes on the palate (fruit coulis, cherrystone) with perfect maturity underscored by a touch of acidity and tannins that are typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The finish is almost saline, stony.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Chaignots 2018Dark red colour. The nose features great depth, aromas of cherry and forest undergrowth (moss, fresh humus). The palate is well balanced, with the same notes of cherry. There is even a certain impression of sucrosity, along with spicy notes, a hint of truffle and all of the richness typical of Nuits-Saint-Georges in the northern part of the appellation, wines that are riper and more concentrated.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers 2019Gorgeous deep red in colour with bluish tinges. The nose is superb and evocative of berries underpinned by balsamic notes of liquorice and mint with a touch of basil followed by spices. Lovely fresh start to the palate, which is rich and deep, boasting remarkable maturity. The ripe tannins are rather powerful and spicy and extremely pleasing. Excellent cellaring potential.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Crots 2019Intense red colour. The nose is pure with aromas of wild cherry and red stone fruit, followed by scents of clafoutis, vanilla, crème brûlée that evolve toward more roasted notes reminiscent of dark chocolate. The palate is elegant, pure, long, silky, continuing on a note of acidity to finish with a slightly saline impression. A hint of almond and liquorice complement this magnificent Pinot Noir.
Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Perrières 2019Concentrated velvety black in colour. Magnificent ripe nose reminiscent of black cherry, chocolate coated cherries, spices, rounded out by elegant oak notes and a hint of salinity. Powerful on the palate, featuring pleasing acidity, dense tannins and roasted notes, along with cocoa, white pepper and a touch of stone. A splendid, complex, powerful wine that boasts excellent cellaring potential.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porrets-Saint-Georges "Cuvée Antide Midan" 2019 Gorgeous deep colour. Expressive, fruity nose of cherry and vanilla aromas reminiscent of pastries and sugared almonds. On the palate, notes of fruit and coulis are complemented by a rather firm structure that boasts a good balance between acidity and tannins that is very typical of the Premiers Crus from South of Nuits. A good wine for laying down with remarkable ageing potential.
